SALES
Behind every product, behind every handshake and every phone call there is a person. Sometimes, it’s the customer in front of us. Sometimes, it’s the company behind us. And whoever it is and wherever they are, the relationships we’re making every day are as strong as the products we build.
Working alongside some of the most personable and professional sales associates in the industry, you’ll quickly discover that every one of them believes that it’s their responsibility to be the touch point for D&F Equipment. With the full support of everyone in the corporate offices, our sales force confidently sets out around the country looking for every opportunity to create partnerships. To build a solid foundation of trust, they make every effort to truly understand what your business needs, where you see it moving and how they can get you there. For our sales associates, it’s not about being right, but about what’s right for you.
Watch as our sales force rolls up its sleeves and gets involved in what you’re trying to accomplish. It won’t be long before you learn what every other customer already knows: with D&F Equipment, you’re not just getting a finished product, you’re getting the entire company behind it.
ENGINEERING & DESIGN
The sum is greater than our parts. At D&F, the engineers work in unison to deliver better service, better production, and ultimately, better thinking for our customers. This dedication to working seamlessly manifests itself in our professional engineers who work one-on-one with you in every phase of your project to bridge the gap between concept and reality. This is the most important aspect of engineering as we design innovative plant layouts and elevations, create material handling systems and customize equipment alongside your employees – streamlining the production process, saving time and improving the overall efficiency of your plant.
CUSTOM FABRICATION
Working closely with our engineers, our Alabama and Arkansas fabrication teams become as immersed in your operation as possible. We’re ready, day or night, to deliver for our customers in our expansive fabrication shop. Through the use of computer controlled systems, our fabricators use lasers to cut and shape steel products to work with any type of machinery, building structure or plant assembly system. To ensure quality, we fully assemble all equipment and operate a test run before it ships. If a problem should occur, D&F Equipment will send a crew to your plant.
INSTALLATION & SERVICE
The journey from initial contact to final installation of a conveyor system is about providing the part or repair service you need, when you need it – and not a day later. It’s taking that phone call or responding to an email to answer questions. And we don’t just deliver a part and install our own systems, but also install other vendors’ equipment, working on three to seven jobs each weekend. Our installers display the instincts, experience and know-how to develop innovative solutions to unexpected problems. We work closely with our customers and contractor teams, to resolve the most challenging situations to your satisfaction.
STEEL PRODUCTS
After 20 years, D&F Equipment has created a dependable multi-level, full-service steel product resource for our customers. Our highly trained steel department personnel are ready to provide quick, responsive service, answer any questions you may have and guide you every step of the way – no matter how big or small your steel needs may be. To improve your business, we anticipate your needs and customize services. From our fully stocked warehouses, we supply you with anything from stainless to galvanized to carbon steel and aluminum – all competitively priced to ensure youget the best possible value.
PARTS
At D&F, our parts department has never been treated as an after thought. Our parts department is interconnected with our design and engineering departments, creating a seamless, cohesive unit. It’s a department of people proactively seeking a quick response to our customers’ needs and doing everything possible to deliver parts in a timely manner. We’re constantly restructuring our parts department, stocking top grade parts, looking for the most competitive prices and quality materials and keeping concise records of original parts sent to jobs.
ALABAMA MACHINE WORKS
This division of D&F Equipment uses CNC and conventional lathes and mills to cut, drill and shape parts. Every day, we couple brass, copper, bronze, steel and plastic with ingenuity and craftsmanship. Since our inception in 1997, we’ve worked closely with the design and engineering departments at D&F – sharing resources and collective thinking to deliver for our customers. To make sure our operations run as efficiently as possible, we employ a full-time, in-house quality control professional.

If you need multiple pieces similarly cut, or require an original design, we can draft to exact specifications and then with our laser, precision cut stainless material that is up to ½” thick and carbon material that is up to ¾” thick. Our lasers are used to cut metal for food processing plants, wheelchairs, fast food restaurants, race cars and military vehicles.

STORIES
Fire
When it comes to installing parts and equipment, ours or any others’, we like to tell people that we never say no. And that was heard no louder than the day a processing plant in Pine Mountain, Georgia burned to the ground.
They gave us 120 days to rebuild it. We did it in 118. It took a dedicated group of engineers, contractors, fabricators and assemblers. It took around-the-clock collaboration and an unprecedented commitment of resources, time and talent. It doesn’t take a catastrophe for D&F Equipment to give this type of effort.
That was 15 years ago. Since then, D&F Equipment installers have been putting forth the same dedication day in and day out, rising to the occasion – not for one client, but for all of them.
Chain, Chain, Chain
In the parts department, like every other division of D&F Equipment, customer service is our number one priority. And we proved this in no uncertain terms the day we received a rush order for 2,800 feet of chain.
2,800 feet. And not just galvanized chain. According to the representative on the job site, the material had to be stainless – or the processing plant wasn’t going to be processing anything. On the surface it may seem like something we tackle every day, until that is, you discover the order was due in three days. With our chain supplier in Connecticut and the customer located in the Southeast, we got the call for a Monday delivery. It was Thursday afternoon.
It’s not every day that you complete a five-day job over a weekend. But with the right people in place and a solid commitment to doing whatever it takes, the parts department did just that.
